Trans cooler or no trans cooler?

Trans cooler or no trans cooler? Yank says that there is no need for a cooler with the 2600 Yank, what do you guys think? When I do run it at the track, I never make more than 3-4 passes and I always let it cool down for atleast 45 minutes or so, 99% of my racing is in winter also.

Re: Trans cooler or no trans cooler? I think a cooler w/even a stock converter is a good idea. You would be suprised how hot the trans runs with no cooler and a stock thermostat and fan settings. You live in Florida, get one.

Re: Trans cooler or no trans cooler? Might not be a bad idea to use one even though that is one of the smaller converters out there. I wouldn't install a cooler with the stock converter though.

Re: Trans cooler or no trans cooler? The B&M's are good. either a 19 or 24,000 gvw cooler. The 24,000 is a little thicker and will give you the best temperature drops. Might as well do a trans. temp gauge while you're at it....Also, the factory engine temp gauge sucks, so a aftermarket gauge for that would be a very intelligent thing to install, also.... WJ.
