Default question for TCI

just wondering how much it would run me to get a SSTF 3500 rebuilt, and one that doesent lock up any more fixed.
i cannot seem to get a straight answer from anyone or a ball park est. when i call

if anyones know let me know

i sent in my 3800 tci stall for a lock up clutch repair and general freshen up and it costed me 170 bucks return shipped

You can't get a straight answer because they won't really know until they cut it open. If it doesn't lock up because the tcc is just worn then it might be cheap, but if the damper springs broke apart and ate everything up it's a different story. If they give you a worse case price it might scare you away, but if they give you a cut and clean price then call you back telling you it's going to be triple that you're going to be pissed.

well see i know whats rong with the one it doesent lock up.... how hard is that ot give an estiment to fix i mean they could have giving me a ball park range like


if its this its gonna cost this much or if its this its gonna cost this much

well one of them doesent lock up any more and the other one the tranny went out with with it in no metal or anything went into the converter just wanted to get it checked


but the one that doesnt lock up is what i wanna know about

well you can send it to them to check out and if you want want it repaired just dont pay for it
