Im looking into purchasing a Vig 4000 stall converter for my 02 z28 and i was wondering if it would be a good idea to do 3.73 gears in the stock rear end.... ive heard horror stories about the stock rear ends blowing out.. this isnt my daily driver and yes this is my first LS1 car also... so im a new to this... any help would be appreciated...

 

With 4K stall and 3.73 together your car is going to drive tight around town which is a good thing. On the highway your mpg is going to suffer a litte but its going to haul *** on roll races.

Stock rear ends suck anyways so go ahead put it on your list to upgrade although A4s are more forgiving to stock rears unlike the M6s.
