Default what stall to run with stock 2.73 gears

I have a 2001 z-28 with 2.73 gears,i am seriously considering putting in a TC in soon, my current mods are directflo lid, magnaflow exhuast, ftra,k&n filter and descreened maf.I want more ooomph but i dont want to go to extravagent on other mods, and if there is a good stall to pick what size gears would be good to upgrade to, other than the 2.73.

With my 2.73's I run a Yank ST-3500. I have went 12.65 with this combo and love it on the street. I have also cut a 1.76 60 ft with it as well.

I have 2.73s as well, and I'm considering either a Vig3200 or a Yank SS3800

I've been told to get more stall than you want right off the bat, cuz later you wish you'd have gone bigger.

Just going off what I've heard.

A Yank SS3600 or 3800 will be killer as would a 3200 or 3600 2.5 STR from TCS.

I'm also running a Vig. It's a 3400 though. With 2.73's. It took 1/2 a second off my E.T, and that was with the same 60ft as before (need tires).

I am running a TCI 3500 with my 2.73's, only been to the track 1 time with it so far, best 60' was a 1.81 on et streets spinning, so I think I.7's would be easy once I get the hang of it

Hey Jim, how much was the 3.73 swap worth in the quarter. ET and MPH.
