Re: 4L80E I'm planning to put one in my Tahoe.It takes a transmission computer,a different flex plate,a converter and a different drive shaft yoke.I think it would fit an f-body with minor dempling of the tunnel.I've been told that they can be built to withstand up to 1200hp and do full throttle shifts into 4th gear.

Re: 4L80E You guys ever seen one? They are FREAKING HUGE! They're power sucking monster trannies. Way too much weight, IMO. I have one in my Suburban. FWIW, it's the second one in the 'burb. They're not indestructable. First one lasted about 130k miles.
