4l80e stock stall?
what is stock stall on a 4l80e?
i have stock 6.0 with 4l80 out of 03 chevy van. it seems that convertor flashes higher than what a normal trans does.

It should be in the 1,400 - 1,800 range. It's should be fairly tight.
However, stall rpm is going to be affected by horsepower... a tight converter will stall higher with more h/p than it was designed to see.
That being said... a stock B29 converter is going to max out around somewhere around 1,900 - 2,100 rpm... and you're going to have to crowd it to get it that high.
More information is needed about your engine before I could offer an opinion about what you should be seeing.

it is a stock 6.0 right now with long tubes and cold air intake.
the motor and trans have 205k on it. it came out of a wrecked 03 express van. trans doesn't feel like it is slipping. but just feels like a loose convertor. It is now in an 86 el camino with 411 gears.
The only thing done with tuning is the VATS was turned off. also rear O2s deleted if that helps at all
