Default When will the transmission prices get any beter?

Just curious if the prices of a high performance trans will ever lower due to the slowing economy?

I am looking for just the right time to get a REALLY well built 4l60E or the 4l80E.

We to are running a very good sale , I would not expect any of us to go a lot lower as while the economy is slowing our cost are rising at the same time ,Shipping / parts etc. If any thing you may soon actually see prices start to go up due to these cost increases soon. Cant do it for free you know.I would get while the gettins good as they say.

Please check out our sales thread

Which would be better for a heavy car like a vert. 4l60e or the 4l80e? I am pushing 540rwhp now on motor and on a 50 shot it was 620rwhp. Now i am running a 150 shot. So lets say im around the 800rwhp.

I'm in the low 6's in the 1/8. Need something that will hold up

Just curious, what's wrong with the TH400 that you have in there now? If your looking into either OD trans then start saving up for the 4L80E @ 800rwhp. But I don't see them going down in price at least at this company.

He has a procharger.

When you spray nitrous into a supercharger/turbo car it always makes more HP since it is cooling down the air also.

Late last week in the mail I received a letter along with a new price list from ATI Performance Products.

I use ATI as a supplier of parts for many high end 2 and 3 speed builds. Let me paraphrase the letter......

" .... But that Quality comes at a price. Rather than following some of our competitors by buying inferior offshore parts... Because of this we have had to implement price increases in many of our product lines.

We are saddened to place any additional burden on our customers by passing along any costs to you. Rest assured ATI will not profit from any of the increases, but only keep the machines running as long as the racers are buying.

All price increases will be effective on September 1, 2008... "

That is but one letter from one supplier. It is a fact that the world we live in is driven by supply and demand. I have not received a similar notification from vendors of the same parts manufactured from lesser quality materials.

It's a fact. If you want to play, you have to pay.
