I was pretty disappointed as well when i saw the first shots of thr GXP. But now that i have seen an actual photo of one my mind has changed. Does it look like the GT, yeah a bit. But i guess the different front end, the beautiful wheels, and the fact that it can come with a 6 speed manual really turned me on to it. I've always loved the G8 interior, and to see it with a stick makes it look even cooler.

I agree, it's a GREAT sport sedan/family hauler and that LS3 is an amazing motor.

 

The LS3 is definitely sick. I just don't see this car selling well at all given the current economical situation and I really think that production should be put on halt to help the company.

 

not being a dick, but a stock manual fbody can barely pull those numbers on the highway. you are not getting that with a modded a4 with a stall. sorry.

Good review and great car IMO. The more I see them the more I lean towards getting one to replace my current DD (Audi A4).

 

Maybe he forgot to mention a Turbonator.

 

I've been waiting for this car. Problem is now that I've seen what it offers for the price increase I cannot justify it over the G8 GT. With rebates and the 1,500 "coupon" GM just sent me I can get a G8 with all the option I want for under 29,000. That leaves me with enough money to exceed the performance of this vehicle. There aren't enough special modifications to the GXP to warrant the price increase. If it were 34,000 I would buy the GXP. At it's current price it's just not attractive to me.

 

Where are you from, i can get 28mpg highway all day long with the tops out. I've pulled 32 before with the tops in and headlights off. You don't know how to drive
