I really hope Shelby wins, although as long as Avalanche doesn't win, I wouldn't mind seeing Corvette take it either. The navigator (Matt?) of Avalanche is so annoying. At least Bear can back up his talk by being one of the best drivers there.

**** corvette came in last, thats gay... if they would have won the challenge they'd be 200 grand richer. how the **** can both a gt500 and especially a vette get outhandled by a truck? granted its a GM truck so its got a LS motor but common!!! how do you lose to a basically stock truck in a handling speed competition on pavement?!?! bear could drive that truck... but the other guys should be ashamed!

oh and this finish compared to the 1st season sucked... when alsop jumped in that trans am and just started doing burnouts with both hands out the window that was awesome!!

Except on the internet, where everybody has a 12" ***** and can run low 13's/high 12's with a stock LS1 car. You wouldn't believe how many times I've seen a C5 Z06 lose to a mid 13 second car due to bad driving.

It was good, I liked all the cars for the most on there. Looking foward to seeing the next season. I just want to know who pays for the gas and damages. anyone????? Team Shelby was going to org enter a custom 350z making 450hp.

I'm sure the show picks up the tabs for expenses along the way like food, hotel, gas... damages, that's probably on the driver's plate to cover. Other than the Evo and Dart, none of the other cars had any kind of extensive damage other than some minor cosmetic damage.
Like most elimination contest shows, most of the participants get a minimum amount for using their likeness and images for advertising and promotions. It wouldn't surprise me if each team got $25k for being on the show, or maybe it would be a stagger, like for each leg you complete you get $5,000. Or, it could be winner gets $200,000, runner up gets $50,000, third gets $25,000 and everyone else gets $10,000? Goldberg made a big deal about being on the last 3, so maybe it meant something $$$ wise.
