Reminds me of an Audi/Lambo. Not bad but I'd rather have the 430 Scuderia. I didn't read the article in the link but I think MT said they were dropping the F1 trans for a double clutch setup. Not a good idea IMO. They need to do something nobody else does.

Like what? The F1 is an automated manual. Many companies doing that now.

I for one, would prefer a regular manual with a clutch pedal....

They are going to make them, but VERY limited. Can't remember exactly but it was only double digits.

Also I would like an automatic I could shift manually .. A combo would be sweet, do they make one? Like a manual that also has drive?

i think they are only going to be available to 430 scuderia owners...so better you better get in line.

This is what I was thinking and one of them had an affair with the 360 so it got thrown in there just a little too, lol.

The F1 tranny in most Ferrari's has an "auto" mode.

Never heard that. As far as I know the Vanderbrink car MIGHT be made, and it will be on a one by one basis. Vanderbrink's not gonna care if you have a 430 Scuderia, as long as you have money. Last I heard he was having issues getting permission from Ferrari on the look of the car.

Most do a double clutch manual not the F1 shift so the F1 shift was unique. The double clutch setup is supposed to be better around town but the F1 would be faster on a track. I'd love to test that 40ms shift time and then see if I wanted a stick and clutch again.

i heard it was the F450 also, so im guessing 4.5L V8 but its all speculation. thats a "rendering" so i dont trust it THAT much. besides, its hideous.

as for the F40/F50 debate, the F40 LM is well, insane. if youd like a clip, ignore the french F1 driver, and listen to the roar of that thing. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0YPabCzxMXM

and idk if anyones checked autotrader for the F40s lately but uhh, lol....$619,000 with 2,871 miles. god i wish i had the money.

Ferrari, Maserati, Aston Marton, Toyota and others have used a automated manual. Ferrari just calls it "F1". They both (F1/DSG) have there advantages/disadvantages. I still prefer a regular 3-pedal manual. It still offers more fun and driver involvement....

for that picture in the OP... i'd be severely disappointed... it looks so unclassy, no more finesse. Just another modern car trying to look like something else....

Ferrari's F1 and BMW's trannsmission (name slips right now sorry) are both based on manual transmissions, they are truly manual.Ferrar's have no auto mode you simple shift or done go right? At least the 360. The dual clutch trannys are based an automatics right?
