The right way to build a vette.

It's different taking the shitty 5.0 out of a fox and putting an LSX in it, but taking out an LS6 to put in a ford motor. That's not right. I'd be less offended if he put a rotary in it.

This particular 408 has already gotten action in his previously owned ’92 Mustang that ran in the 8’s consistently. Some changes are being made to the motor (that was formerly supercharged) and it will now receive a large 101mm turbo. Additionally a more boost-friendly set of pistons were purchased that will bring the compression ratio to 8.5:1.

So you'd rather see his Vette go slow as **** with a shitty rotary than see it go 7's or 8's in the 1/4 with a Ford motor? Wow.....no comment.

At least that would be different. Instead lets put a Ford 408 into a corvette when an LSX 408 is easily had. I know he already had the engine, it's just a dumb idea to write an article about. I'm sorry you take jokes seriously.

I take it neither seriously nor as a joke. I was just posting a passing comment. I can understand the Ford vs Chevy rivalry thing....and the egos that go along with it. All in good fun. But saying you'd rather see an import motor in a Vette rather than good ole American iron (regardless of the manufacturer) is just deserving of a good smack behind the head IMO. For building a drag car I'll gladly take a GM, Ford, heck....even a Dodge V8 before I throw a rice cooker under the hood.

My guess is that you are correct that they are Ford chassis', but not always the powerplant. Could be wrong though...
