typical price for 4v cams is 1200.00 - 1400.00. the new factory setup will not require new springs unless the opening rates of the cams too high. the factory springs are already used for .475in/.450ex lift at 7000 rpm. those of us who do this all the time will hardly care how much they cost.

ive said before i think the bolt on limit is 415-425 rwhp. nobody knows the stock cam specs. the cams really matter.
also head porting. is there room for more flow? well 37mm vales are not max. 39mm will fit great and not be as shrouded as a stock bore 4.6. theres more to be had, but who knows how much. i dont think theres 75rwhp to be had in heads/cams. the 302r/boss302 intake may change that. if the stock cams are small theres more there. if they are already fr500 duration there's not as much there. 230 - 240 degree @ .050 .475" lift cams are screamers. The ti-vct will allow the average car to use them without bad idle/ part throttle behavior. the coyote optimized for 7500 rpms can make a lot of power. 500rw? probably not. but we'll see i guess.

Evolution Performance's GT just dipped into the 11's. Control arms, aftermarket air filter, O/R X pipe, aftermarket clutch, tires, and some good tuning.
11.98 @ 117MPH with a 1.67 60ft

Very nice, I knew it was coming but didn't think they would get it done this quickly.
That's cool that it was done while being somewhat hotlapped but honestly, I'd still be even more impressed with say the 11.7 that likely would've come after the car had sat and cooled for a bit versus going for that 'real world' hotlapping bragging right. I mean some (though not necessarily me) might even argue that delicate/lightweight Bogart rims (many have smashed them just driving on the street), drag slicks, skinnies and no cats isn't exactly "real world" anyway but regardless that is flyin'.

Besides, it's a stock factory motor powered Mustang running 11's without the aid of nitrous or a blower............it might as well be a florescent unicorn running down the street shitting leprechauns.

changing cams in a modular is easier than your LS i bet. i pull the valve covers, insert an AFM cam tool. remove the cam bolt. compress the mid chain, remove the rockers, remove the cam caps. slide the cams from the gears. reverse.
its simple and only takes a few hours per side. and i dont give a **** about the 1200 dollar cost. the labor is me and free. i build these things man.
