damn it
i was really wanting them to wise up and put a duramax diesel in the camaro, that way it would have enough torque to lug its fatass around
rumors have it the 2012 challenger will have the cummins turbo diesel under the hood cuz its so damn heavy it splits the asphalt as its going down the road
but the ls9? thats awesome, now we will have a camaro thats more expensive than a corvette.....
thats what i think is so stupid about mustangs, they need to stick to a v-6 base then the v-8......
but instead you can go all the way up to have a $60,000 mustang and at the end of the day IT'S STILL A MUSTANG.....
they are doing the same with the camaro, now people will have a $60,000+ camaro and at the end of the day its still a camaro
to the average person and especially the average chick a mustang is a mustang and a camaro is a camaro...... but for $60,000 i would rather have a viper or something much different that wouldn't blend in with all the other cars on the road
.

I'm sure they'll offer a manual for those of you that want it. I'm just glad to see that they aren't leaving us auto people out in the cold like Ford did.
Hardly a "car for the masses" with either trans type. I'm sure the MSRP will be beyond what most normal people will pay for a Camaro/Mustang. It will be a niche car, just like a Cobra.

I still think it's funny they taped over the bowtie emblem on the back deck and the Camaro emblems on the side and steering wheel. It's like putting big neon flashers on a Corvette and then trying to cover up the badges so people don't notice what it is.

I'm going to have to agree with Robbie...the majority of these cars are sold on style and image...not power. Yeah it's important for them to HAVE power, but as long as it's a rumbling V8 under the hood, 80% of buyers are not worried about which car's V8 makes more hp...they just want the image that the car offers. The fact that the Challenger is still around is proof to this. I still hear alot of preference for the Challenger over the Camaro or Mustang despite the fact that it's been left in the dust by both cars. This is because it's got what it needs...a big V8, and kickass style. The car has a feel to it despite being the slowest of it's competition...this is what people are after.

Because "displacement" is becoming a four letter word. The government would much rather see a four cylinder with a huge turbo than a NA V8 (despite the fact that that V8 gets 28mpg compared to the turbo four getting 20mpg). They just go by the size of the motor and forget about everything else.

What is the point of putting the body molding of the Z28 on there if they wanna stay covert? Why not just do the z28 chassis( if there is a difference between that and a SS) and then put SS body panels on it and maybe a cowl hood if the SC doesn't fit. Then they don't have to hide it all when they wanna do durability tests and ****.
It ain't like they made a whole new Camaro. Next gen or something. Beats me!
