Not only that but they think that with the stroke of a pen, cars become more fuel efficient. Like as if the car companies had the ability to make fuel efficient cars this whole time, they just didn't want to.

This country's government is useless when it comes to encouraging fuel efficiency... if they wanted to increase economy they would give more incentives for people to buy diesel cars and lower the tax on diesel fuel.

Oh well, maybe eventually we'll get our head out of our *** and get on board with what the rest of the world has known for decades.

Hahaha, definitely stealing that one for a while.

Stop using logic. Logic isn't permitted in the workings of Washington.

yes, diesel produces better mpg's.. but its not the answer! The more people who buy diesels the more demand obviously and the price will go even higher. The thing is tho the price of diesel has a direct affect on so many things most people dont even realize, the price of everything from food to groceries are tied into the price of diesel. its not the price of gas that will bring this country to a halt its the price of diesel.

If you made everyone switch from gas to diesel sure, you'd save money at the pump -but the increase in the cost of living will cost more than you'd be saving.
