Paying homage to the 1LE Camaros of the third and fourth generations will be the Camaro 1LE Concept. This car will be equipped with some serious road-racing components including electric power steering, a sport suspension with Magnetic Ride Control, shock tower brace, light-weight 20-inch wheels with Goodyear Eagle F1 Supercar G asymmetrical tires and Brembo six-piston front and four-piston rear calipers. The car will feature a Victory Red exterior with a black hood, hash mark extensions, splitter, spoiler, mirrors and rocker panels, giving the car a aggressive look.

Me too.
Hopefully, though as mentioned above I'd like to see the 'Boss 302 fighter' marketed/sold as the 'Z28', even if just for nostalgia's sake.

An LS7 would jump the sticker price too much. All GM needs to do with the LS3 is free up 50hp to bump its output to 480hp and it'd be good to go.

So a new LT1 Camaro. I could live with that if it still had the dry sump oiling system from the GS Vette's LS3. I also think 150-200lbs of weight loss is possible if they look at the right areas. No back seat, smaller forged wheels, smart use of carbon fiber, etc. Also, no OnStar. That should at least be optional on this car.

So to (most likely) keep production costs down, and therefore the msrp down, they could just add VVT and a little more free flowing exhaust. That should add a solid 30-40 fwhp. Then turn this fat bitch into an old saturn and make the body panels out of plastic. Lightweight 19's, some alcantara recaros, single disc cd player/radio, etc. Also the only computer nanny should be abs. No traction control, stability control, back up cameras, blah blah blah. A 460hp, 3,600lbs, $28,000 camaro would be pretty badass.

It's hard to say if direct injection in a current LS engine would be cost effective to start producing. It really depends on how much they've done so far and we just have no idea.
