DarkFox-Ha, yeah, I like their current trucks pretty good too. Nice motor options, great looking, well laid out and comfortable interiors. Also, Fiat owns Ferrari if I recall correctly, and we all know the craftsmanship and precision that goes into Ferrari's. Hopefully they have truly been spreading that same charisma over to Chrysler with their current lineup, but like I said, time will tell.

it's not really corolla/civic small from the look of things.
I imagine they'll probably have a base model in the mid/high 100s HP wise, maybe low 200s, then have a "performance" model that's got a v6 with ~250-300hp.
it'd probably move pretty good for what it is. Most manufacturers in this class these days seem to be shooting for the ~8sec 0-60 times like the jetta pulls. Maybe the performance model will be closer to 6.
all speculation based on competition of course. I wouldn't really pull beside one at a redlight and consider it a threat, even if my car is in the condition it's in.
Still.. it's better than the nissan cube right!?

I would give this little Dart a shot. . . hear me out:
I sell Nissan at an Auto Center with 4 major brands (Nissan, Toyota, Hyundai, Dodge/Chrysler/Jeep). On my lot right now, we have a couple 2010 Dodge Avengers (used), and a 2011 Avenger as well (also used). While they look the same on the outside, the interiors in the '10 vs '11 are night and day.
I actually LIKE the 2011 Avenger on the inside. Softer materials, leather seems half-way decent, lines are a little nicer and the whole thing feels like a single complete thought, not just a car destined for rental-car fodder.
I even took the initiative and drove the 10 vs the 11 back-to-back. Ignoring the drivetrain difference (4cyl vs 6cyl), the 11 felt nicer, quieter, and didnt SQUEAK at every bump in the road.
...long story short: if this is the direction with all dodge products... they just might get competitive soon. If chevy and ford can, why not dodge?

I think this is Fiats attempt for dodge (chrysler) to survive in todays market. Historically dodge has produced cars, suvs, and trucks with the worst gas mileage of about any manufacturer.
