Well that was in 5th gear... & they are at like 4,000 ft. So Id say that's pretty damn good! A lot more mph left in the car. They said a "top speed" pass is soon to come!

Well the Hennessey Venom GT sets another record with 0-200 mph in 14.51 seconds!! Compared to the Bugatti Veyrons 24.2 seconds

when hennessey does something totally on his own, his own engine platform, his own damn body, not a modified lotus then I will give a ****. until then hes still a hack just tinkering with someone elses motors and bodies and calling his own... he needs originality

Im not mad at all just saying. I think its great the car is that fast, but its nothing special. Its a gm motor in a slightly modifoed lotus body, you may as well compare this car to one of those UGR TT lambos.

The are significant differences between the Lotus and the Venom GT, the only body panels they share are the doors and I think front glass everything else is different (wider and lengthened), suspension is completely revised as well. The motor makes more than double what comes in a ZR1. The car is sick in person and looking at the results, I'd say pretty damn quick.

I agree. I dont think it should be considered a production car, but rather a very heavily modified car. I was going to mention Carroll Shelby doing the same thing, but that has already been said.

You could name your 240sx the Tainted Torque-inator or something. If they can do it why cant we?

The motor part I could get over. But at least pagani amd koenigsegg used their very own styling and bodies, and koenigsegg started making their own engines now. As for pagani, AMG makes it just for them.

Im not trying to bash it per say, cuz if I had the money id be one of the first to get one. The numbers and performance doesnt lie, but i dunno to me its just more of a kit car.
