i dont understand the point of all these spyshots and spyvids because its the same tarp over the same car... might as well throw a cover on a fusion and take a bunch of pictures and claim its some more spy shots. i think a spy shot should be an actual shot of the car.

I'm sorry but that's ugly.... I really like the new 5.0 they grew on me. If I had the cash I would buy one. But Ford failed on this one if that's the new Mustang! Looks like a Fusion/Taurus imo

That's called making sure the car sells well. There is absolutely nothing wrong with having a turbocharged 4cyl as the base model. From what I've heard, it will go turbo-4/NA V6/Turbo V6/5.0. Sounds like a good spread to me.

'It looks like this.' 'It looks like that.' May as well be a wiffle ball bat...

Seriously, anyone who gleans a damned thing about the ACTUAL looks of the next Mustang based on pictures of a car 100% COVERED is simply not thinking right... Those "spy shots" show us a car that's COVERED, both outside and inside... How do you think you know what it looks like in this condition? That's like trying to individually ID a 50 klansman who are wearing their sheets, by using PHOTOGRAPHS!

As for which someone would rather, lets wait till we know what the Hell we're talking about before deciding between two entirely changed new models, riding on new chassis' with new powertrains available. For the record, I will genuinely be surprised if the new Camaro actually weighs less than the new Mustang and I'll be surprised if the new Mustang doesn't outsell the new Camaro. It's not about us performance enthusiasts. It's about what mom and dad will tell their children(and pay for)... It will be the lower priced car as much as the more efficient car. Where Mustang vs Camaro is concerned, I think we can expect the Mustang to be both less expensive and more efficient in base form.

Those "spy shots" suck at least as much as any others we've seen. We're not being patient about this, from the looks.

True true hopefully it wont be like the mustang 2 with the technology far greater than back in the day im sure the sho motor will be the most popular buy giving that the rally car with that motor is making very good power and is putting up great numbers

i didnt understand why they changed up the '05 mustang in '11 to then change it now. I thought the '11+ models looked pretty good and had a few more years with the 5.0 before they needed a redesign. and i dont consider the '11 just a facelift because a facelift would be like the TB split headlights to the single headlights on the newer models haha.

'11 was just a facelift. A new model was needed, because it has been basically the same under the skin since '05 (with the exception of drivetrain changes in '11. Complacency leads to failure.

i guess technically they can call it a facelift but i say its a completely new car with a completely different motor and the exterior is like going from a c4 to a c5 or a c5 to a c6 IMO haha

More like a '90 Corvette to a '91 Corvette. New engine, refreshed interior, redone exterior. Same generation.

im just curious do they consider the SN95 mustangs to be a separate generation to the 99+?

i just thought the 11 mustang was considered a whole new generation. i understand changing it up just thought it was a little early IMO.

Most people consider it to be the same generation, just like all '93-'02 F-bodies are 4th gens.

i see, i was just curious. not a Ford or Mustang guy so i wasnt positive. to me, the fact that you cant swap any body panels between the '05 and the '11s make it a new generation. I remember there was so much hate on the C6 when it came out by the magazines saying its a C5 and 7/8ths. haha.

that new picture rendering makes the new mustang look like a beast though. but we will have to wait for the reveal to know for sure.

I wonder whats next for the camaro after this facelift.

im not sure on the ATS platform is in relation to size but i thought the camaro should have been put on a LNF platform but RWD. or that GM should make that a new sports platform. haha
