The only people who have been waiting to see the capability specs of the 2017 Ford Super Duty more than Blue Oval fans are the engineers at competing truck companies, such as Chevrolet. Now we all know what some of those important numbers are.

All the diesel trucks have more than enough power. From my friends and family owning them the duramax seems to get better mpg, the ford has more power and the dodge is a mixture if the 2.

Did they actually put some real springs in these trucks? Ever since they switched trucks in '97 and '99 Fords went downhill. They can handle the weight maybe but I've seen countless F250s and F350s with an empty utility bed and sit level. Ladder racks on an '07 F150 literally made the back sit lower than the front. I've got a '94 C1500 and it takes about a 3/4 ton to sit level. And the Ford diesel engines are far from impressive. I've driven the 7.3L, 6.0L, 6.4L, and the 6.7L engines. I will admit the 6.2L is stout, will chip the tires at 40 mph on an XL F250 with 4.10s. I drove one from Virginia to Ohio in a new F350 cab and chassis with 4.56 gears and that thing would move. Gotta love Ford and their wonderful coolant systems too. O rings and sprung steel clips for radiator hoses and radiators that crack on almost every truck, and with less than a 100,000 miles on them. But I'm not saying Fords are the only bad vehicle, not sure any of the modern is good other than on paper. I will say the 7 lug F150 is what Ford should've sold as the regular F150. The regular one is comparable to a ranger in my opinion.
