Default California SUCKS!

I don't know if you guys heard but I'm ready to gtfo of California! By 2035 they are making it illegal to sell brand new gas/hybrid vehicles in CA. Can only be electric vehicles. You can still own gas powered vehicles but just won't be able to buy a brand new 2035 gas powered vehicle.

Newsom says that's what's going to happen, but it's far from being law. I'm going to bet my bone stock 2V out-drags the C8 before Newsom's stupidity ever becomes a reality...

California SUCKS!
'
I won't speak for it as a whole but perhaps those elected to run the State do. If the voters of Cali really feel they have the right people running their State then shame on them for voting these people into office or maybe the voters who voted to remove them weren't heard because of corruption within the States government. Disarming America by infringement on your 2nd Amendment rights is the first step and that's already been happening on the State and Federal level. Lots of laws put into place to stop one from being able to exercise their 2nd Amendment right.

Wake up!

There's gun and money grabbing climate changers in office folks. Whatever you do Californian's please don't come over here for a better way of life and then vote to turn my Texas.

There is no way that will happen in our lifetime. OPEC has too much money and we have the best government (foreign) money can buy.

Everytime I think about all of this crap, it makes my blood boil. We keep talking about doing something....and eventually the talking will cease. I hope it never comes to that. We are better than that. People need to wake up and stop voting these liars in.

The troubling aspect of this is it is 100% political to placate to the hard core environmentalists that California, at least, is moving forward on their radical environmental agenda expectations. As an executive order this sidesteps the legislator's defined duties of passing laws and this disregarding the citizen's voice and say in how they wish to be governed! The current crew is on a mission and has no concern for the impact on the industry or citizens as they know better and will drag all of us kicking and screaming into the utopia we are constantly getting in the way of building! He is making promises he can't keep and he knows it, but wants to do something as the dysfunction of the state grows by leaps and bounds each week.

To me, it looks more like a political stunt to fire up the base and show some semblance of leadership in a state so dysfunctional they can't make or maintain a budget nor can they keep the lights on, literally, or basic services to their citizens, no wonder they have net negative population growth. I just hope those who are fleeing this lunacy remember why the left California and what caused California to get to where it is, voting by party and not by platform of the person running, and act accordingly. Don't California my Texas!

I doubt he has the means to literally power all these electric only vehicles when he cant keep the power out of rolling blackouts. I say have at it, so long as we cut of CA from the national power grid at the same time.

If I own the Tesla till its wore out I could see a LS7 under the hood... Just becasue I'd love to see the look on someones face when it went by with true duals and the

The carbon footprint if you go to gross numbers including the thousand of tonnes of dirt moved to get enough lithium for the batteries it probably has the carbon footprint of a 747.. LOL..

93 octane goes for around $2.50 a gallon here. I'm sure its more like $5 a gallon in California as everything is more expensive there. If you like to smoke and drink and don't mind throwing money away to the government then have at it, but make your own whiskey and your own smoke too and now your breaking a law so why is this?

Money truly is the root of all evil and humans are the most destructive animals on this planet and for that I call us the virus that plagues this earth. Everything you see around you made by man or should I say human in the PC world we live in today is a product of the earth. It has been on fire, it's been frozen and flooded and has even been through mass extinctions. It has happened before and it will happen again, it is only a question of when.

There's people in this world that want to destroy us and everything we stand for and the sad part is they're right here in our own backyards. So my advice is to be prepared and do whatever it is you have to do in order to protect what is there's.

They simply don't have the infrastructure to accommodate a fraction of the population charging their cars day and night. The grid would just shut down given it's current condition.

Newsome is a piece of work but before that he was mayor of San Francisco. Now their is another recall for him. People deserve the government they have.

Add Colorado to the list, their governor just proposed a similar measure under the guise of cutting emissions by 50% of 2005 levels in the next 10 years and by another 25% over the next 5 years. He stated they in IN ADDITION plan to close Colorado roads to gas cars, and non-electric vehicles, 100% by 2050. I guess no Jeeps! I wonder, will there be exceptions for school busses, mass transit, garbage trucks, logging trucks, heavy construction, out of state trucking/logistic (including US Mail)???

Are we seeing the beginning of the end of push rod enthusiast and motoring? 2 of the lower 48's out right proposing banning gasoline based transportation in 30 years.

It doesn't have to be that way, folks need to remember how important it is to vote and make their voices heard. Passive participation is no longer an option, every election matters.

With that said, it doesn't sound like CA is proposing a ban on gasoline powered transportation, just the retail sale of new examples. But, either way, the above still applies and it's important to do everything we can as voting automotive enthusiasts to halt this trend before it gains traction.

California needs to do that thing where they talked about splitting into like three states.

1) Northern California - more conservative
2) Southern California - more progressive
and
3) Hollywood/Celebrity Idiot Land California - exceptionally moronic and definitely a write off

Like many, I just want people from California to stop coming over to Texas and voting like what ruined their state. I know two people that moved to Texas for the better, but still have the same views as all the politicians in California. I got in a debate with both and told them to take their azz back. Lol 😆 They are coworkers and I wasn't as mean as I make it sound.
