I love how that article references the C8's ~$65k price when most owners are actually paying over $90k and not unheard of for them to crack $100k on corvetteforum.

The difference however, at least for enthusiasts is you can tune the R8 and its been proven to run 8's turbo on the stock engine. The C8 so far can barely crack 10 sec with a built engine, nitrous, and turbos.

460tq in a car with an estimated curb weight of 3700–3850lbs sounds terrible for $100k+. That's less tq than a C6Z but 700lbs heavier, aren't the new models supposed to do better?

did you read the article? 670hp with an 8600 rpm redline. this car is going to crush any previous vette and that includes a c7 zr1. bet on a 9 sec. stock pass. how much torque does a gt3 have?

Torque is just gear ratios. There's more torque to the ground that you think. 5.56 axle gear ratio
