Default The Next "Bling" thing..... Chrome cars

The Next "Bling" thing
You know, in the late 90s when I first started to notice the "ricer" culture, I think what really stood out to me as different from all other car cultures was the desire to be "seen". Through most of the 90's it seemed that tuners worked to out do themselves with more and more obnoxious spoilers, exhausts, silly ground effects etc. Then about two years ago I saw my first "Spinner Wheel" on an Escalade.....sigh..... well just when you think you can't get any more "Bling" someone goes and out does themselves.

(Note: I am aware that Mercedes actually had the "Chrome car" series and Jag had their Polished Aluminum XJ, but this is the first I've seen it in the tuner world..)

It would be way too much work just to keep fingerprints off of that car.

That's the ugliest Beam and Merc I've ever seen besides the old ones from the 70's and 80's.

I don't care, that is ******* nasty. I saw that M3 the other day, I think that thing looks cool as hell. Keeping it clean would suck, as well as a rock chip, causing flaking of the chrome Damn, chrome = the ****.

If you don't like Chrome, there is always polished Aluminum...

I wonder how much weight chroming an entire would add to the weight of a vehicle?

Looks wonderful with stock rims that are painted and a foot away from the fenders.

What a waste of chrome. I would much rather have the polished Jaguar.

Imagine one of the chrome cars being in front of you in traffic at night, or on a two lane road as the oncoming traffic; accident waiting to happen.

I do like the yellow taillight peice from the Ferrari F40 in the background in the picture with the BMW that doesn't have its rear wheels, though
