Default RWD Silverado SS

Just read the Sunday Chicago Tribune, Chevy will be making a RWD Silverado SS starting this summer. They say it will be $3100 less than the AWD.

Did they drop the LS2 into the SS? Would love for chevy to make an Eaton blown LS2 to drop in the SS but it will never happen.

No mention on engine, just that they wanted to offer it in 2WD to attract more buyers b/c of the lower price.

They should eliminate a couple of the windows to lower the price/weight even further.

If its still an ext-cab I wouldn't buy it. Dont get me wrong, the 2WD VHO (which is essentially a 2WD SS) is nice (and quick), but I think the SCSB will look sportier and will be lighter.
