Mallet Motorsports Pontiac Solstice!!!!
This thing is SICK!! It comes with a 400hp LS2, Luk Gold clutch, short throw shifter, Mallett-Penske non adj shocks, hi perf brake pads and ss brake lines, weighs 3010lbs and goes 0-60 in 4.2 seconds. If thats not enough you can get a supercharged version with a six speed Tremec trans w/three gear ratio options, 19 in. alloy wheels, Mallett-Penske double adj shocks, coilovers and antiroll bars, trans and diff coolers, ss exhaust, a four core radiator and it makes 600hp.
Wait, there's more, you can also get a 402 stroker or if you want to have the baddest Solstice in the planet you can get one with a supercharged 427 AND THEY COME WITH A 2 YEAR/24,000 MILE WARRANTY TO BOOT!! Man if I only had the money

have you seen the blue zr1 in their shop?
I saw it in person...like 1500hp blower setup with like 400cfm heads .
sry had to add that.
Last time i was there they were talking about making an AWD cobalt with an LS2.
Must be nice to have GM funding!!

Yeah, I read about it the Dec. 19 issue of Autoweek, which is where I got the info on the Solstice(page 28 if anyone gets Autoweek). It's a twin turbo ZR1 that has a top speed of 273MPH!!!!! Veyron what.

The car was at the SEMA show and Mallet was talking about how he was looking into mass producing it. (only a few of them a year)
Anyways, glad to see it will follow through. Mallet is a crazy guy but his work is extremely bad ***

I looked on the Mallett website to try and find more info on it and they only mentioned it briefly and gave no details.

Not saying it wont do 273, b/c with that much power Im sure it will. But it takes more than just power to achieve 273mph. Ive seen pics of the car, but I'd like to see more than just Mallet saying "The car did 273mph".
And BTW, here's pics of the Mallet Solstice
In case those dont work, here's the link

I agree with ya Ling it takes alot more than hp to achieve speed of that nature, I was a little taken back when I read that but w/o any outside proof we might never know for sure. Thanks for posting the pics of the Mallett Solstice as well, I tried but lets face it i'm about as smart as a 2 month old when it comes to computers.

And its ok ls1-ss, I actually found the pics off Mallett's site. All you normally have to do is right click on the pic, go to properties and find the location link with the .jpeg extension. After that wrap it with [IMG] [/IMG] and if your pic can be hot-linked - voila! You've posted a pic.
