The Camaro pic with the kid crying and representing Ford/Mustang owner is funny but as stated the Camaro is still only a concept and GM did drop the ball. I say keep it around until it is made and then have a field day with it.

Also. If the Camaro is built at +/- $200 from the Mustang then I do not see a direct competition for the Shelby Cobra with the Camaro, The price should elevate the Cobra to C6 territory and hopefully GM will have a blower for it.

And. I gotta tell you that I saw the Camaro this morning and was skeptical up to that point. And, after seeing the Challenger concept and knowing what the Mustang is showing, the Camaro concept blows them all away.

For those of you concerned with the weight I suggest you stay away from the Challenger.

This is my next car (I hope) and I cannot wait.

Call me crazy guys but im not sure the new cobra is gonna be anything to worry about.
If the 2003 Cobra taught us anything it's "it doesn't matter how slow it is stock, it's how fast will it run with a pulley"

...oh wait a sec Red already said that

Yeah i know all that but still for a stock car with a blower and 475hp 12.9 is ****, that is all i was saying...Hell the regular c6 can do the 1/4 in 12.3. Me personally I am not impressed with the new cobra. Its heavy and ford would have no performance at all without that little supercharger sittin on top.

Sorry but I havent seen a 4200 lb chevelle. Maybe with an iron big block. But the only car Ive seen on an actual scale to weigh more than mine was an 87 gn. So Im assuming a Monte Carlo would be up there too. The gn was pushing 3900 lbs too. I dont believe old cars are really heavy. Just hollow steel. Not packed with the crap of todays cars.

2007 is being kind of optimistic isn't it? Didn't the unveiling video that was posted everywhere say early 2008 release as a 2009 model?

Forget the new Camaro, have you seen the Firebird/TA? They actually loof to have the same bodies, just different grilles, headlights, rear lamps and hoods to me. I think the TA looks a little better though.

The firebird looks better to me. I know it's just a different grill, hood, headlights and rear lights but the 98-02 TA'a look better to me than a Z-28 and a WS6 looks better to me than an SS. JMO though, you what they say...everyone's got'em.

You guys saw that Cadillac shared the northstar with Buick right? A northstar with a blower on it would be pretty damn sick. I just wish at some point we could get a four cam 32 valve motor in a chevy thats not $60,000 (ZR1-LT5). Point is Ford is winning this battle right now. Of course that 427-LS7 is f*cking badass though.

Actually it IS pretty damn sick. As for all the crap that they stuff in cars, that is what the majority of the buying public wants. Around here we seem to forget that that is not us.

I think they are on the right track but I agree it needs more refinement.
Here is a chopped version with the air intake deleted and a better looking grill to show it has potential. I added one of my 69 RS/SS for those of you who think it looks nothing like a first gen.

have you forgotten what muslecars started out as. FATASS PIGS with tons of power and looks. case in point 4200 lb 70 chevelle, gto, 69 charger even the fbods were not featherweights. as long as it is the >3500 lb area i am game

A 4200lb 70 Chevelle? 69 Charger? Those musta had concete poured in the trunk to weigh that! LMAO Used to have a full option(with a/c) 70 442 W-30 in our family, car weighed 3730. Those cars were actually closer to the weight of the loaded 4th gens we love so much(T-Top cars).

i think gm needs to chill out with their design and smooth it out a little bit it could be a good looking car with a little refinement the rims are too big, the front end is pretty ugly, and wtf is up with the roof

I think the 2007 Camaro looks sweet all around I love that retro look, everything except for the grille. Thats ok with me because I know Slp or someone will make a billet grill or a nicer one.

i know ill get bashed for this but thing looks almost to concept because of the short windows. Basically the whole body needs to be sectioned and the windows need to go up. Its just too concept right now.
