Ford reaction to new Camaro!!!

I wouldnt worry about Ford losing stang sales. That car in person is ugly they need to go back to the drawing board. I just saw it at detroit the fronts way to weird for it but the rest of the car is nice.

I wouldn't start the **** talking until you've got one in your driveway... Don't get me wrong, I'm excited about this car too, but GM has let us down is the past... I wouldn't start an all new Camaro-Mustang war until I was positive I wouldn't be eating my words.... But if you do decide to post that on a ford forumn... post up a link, it should be fun watching them tear you apart

I'm not even gonna consider ANY of these new muscle cars until they start losing weight. These things are nothing but fatass pigs, reguardless of looks and power. The only car's weight that is where it should be is the Vette. Everything else is being stuffed with lard.

I sure wouldn't recommend stirring anything up against Ford in this arena. The Mustang wasn't discontinued, and they had the drive and organization to pull off a new model that has been selling like crazy. No doubt who the true "winners" are on the ponycar wars right now.

Wow... just wow.
"Hmm, 350 HP with less than 3500 lbs for much better performace all-around, or 350 HP around 4000 lbs because that's how the old cars weighed. Gee, I'll go with the heavier car because it's retro even though all categories in performance are hindered by the weight."

well i have bad news for you boys the cars aren;t going to get any lighter. not unless you want to start paying more than you already are. safety regulations are a big part of the weight gain. can they build a lighter camaro yes will they prob not because of the cost of r&d, retooling, retraining of workers and blah blah blah. remember it all boils down to money.

Call me crazy guys but im not sure the new cobra is gonna be anything to worry about.
Then wont you be dumbfounded at a light by a 600rwhp pulley/exhaust/filter gt500. Havent you learned anything from the 03/04 cobra? You cant truly think that's all that car is capable of!
There were 03 cobras in the 9's in the first year of production with stock bottom ends and heads. Do you think that by upping displacement and blower size on the GT500 that things may have changed for the better in your favor?
