Small potatoes. http://www.randworkman.com/featured_...ils.php?id=119
'71 Hemi Cuda drop tops fetch nothing but top dollar and more than any other muscle/ponycar out there at the moment. Another one will be sold this coming January. http://www.autoblog.com/2006/11/26/a...a-convertible/
Too bad some tool will pay such a large sum of money to have it garaged and pampered until he finds a way to unload it to some other idiot for a profit. It'll be funny to see the look on the face of the guy who gets stuck with the car after the musclecar market plummets.

those rich idiots on barrett jackson are doin nothin but destroying the value of classic cars, and by destroyin i mean making the prices go up. cars worth $25k are sellin for $45k on there. all those celebs just wanna get noticed for payin top dollar for an average car and its ruining the values.

Thats ridiculous to spend that kind of money on these 35+ yr old cars that cost 2500-4000$ brand new! Then on top of that they just sit in the garage where nobody can see them and they never get driven!!! They're ruining it for the real hot rodders, the ones that acctually put their blood sweat and tears to make a one of a kind, badass, faster n ****, show winning hot rod that gets all the ladies and all the looks. It makes me ****** sick to think so many good cars and fun times will be wasted away with the imposibility to find a decent price on a older muscle car.

Yea I was lucky enough my father was the second owner and bought it in 1971, drove it for 5 years and then stored it in the garage for 25 years. Then was given to me as a graduation present for high school since he was pretty much done with cars.

The 68 Z/28 conv. got over the one million mark but didnt meet reserve and didnt sell a year or so ago. I spent seven days at the Scottsdale auction in 02, we beat out Reggie jackson on the blue and white 70 LS6 Conv. for $170k that at the time was a big record breaker. We also bought the #38 69 ZL1 Camaro from the Russo and steel auction thats a couple of miles down the street from Barret jackson. We have sold a few LS6 hard tops that are top notch correct restored and numbers matching in the $45-55k range. I was also aproached by the owner of Eleanor, he was looking to sell it for $120k, my boss wasnt interested and said the movie cars havnt been know to be good investements in the past. It was the only show quality car of the seven built for the movie, the only four speed car and the only one Nicolas cage acually drove. It sold the following year for I believe over $300k, my boss was kicking himself hard.
