You keep trying to use the 400 lb heavier argument, but then you compare the RCSB 2wd Tundra to a CC 4wd Denali.

It proves that it is faster than a CREW MAX Tundra. Apples to Apples.

You said any configured Tundra. And the fastest Tundra is a 13.8. Secondly, look at the weight of the vehicles. The Tundra is 328lbs heavier, yet still runs a faster time. This tells me:

1) Tundra is underated
2) Denali is overated

You choose!

No, once again, it was compared to a Double Cab in the article. IT even gave the Denali a weight advantage and it still was slower. Hell, it cant even tow more than 8500lb's lol

No, I said a similarly configured Tundra. The Tundra that ran 13.8 is not heavier, choose one side or the other.

1) You cant read
2) You are just that dumb

The Crewmax is even heavier than the Double Cab Tundra by another 200lbs. The DC Tundra and the Denali is the real comparison.

I didnt quote a article, I quoted a time slip. You said what the best time for a crew max tundra was, and this is quicker.

Why are you comparing a truck, that is 500+lbs heavier? We are talking about two similar trucks, that are close in weight. And this is the Double Cab Tundra and the Denali. The same two vehicles that Edmonds compared. Whats is so hard about that? Even the Double Cab is 300+lbs heavier, than your precious Denali, but guess what, it loses!

Because a crew cab is the same as a crew max. Its not GMC's fault that the Tundra is so heavy.
Why are you comparing a truck with a 4.30 gear to one with a 3.42?

It doesnt matter anyway, the 14.48 is still faster than the double cab.

O boy, no its not the same. You just cant face the facts can you? Get over it, read the article and let it marinate.

The Tundra is heavier, since it was designed to be a 3/4 ton truck. Hence the reason why it says 3/4 on the Title's and the reason why CR decided to test it against the Desiels. Its pathetic, that the Denali can only tow 8500lbs. I rate that right up there with the Tacama . Enjoy your column shifting 4 speed 16sec truck. Goodnite!

That was over 10k lbs bails of PP Plastic(trailor is 5k). Each bail weigh 1000-1200lbs. Thats what I haul on a daily basis, no problems whatsoever.

Send those pictures to the Toyota execs asap!! Maybe they didn't realize that their toys can tow their race trailers and they need to be informed, since that WAS the original topic here. You also compared the towing of a Tundra to the Duramax earlier because of some drag "race" pulling 8000 pounds....Forward that "test" with such valuable results on to Japan too since you seem to regard the opinions of magazines so highly.

basically, i'm bored at 3 a.m.
carry on.

I love products whose components are assembled in countries that pay their employees a yearly salary comparable to the amount of coins in my couch cushions! Hurray cheap labor! Hurry sweat shops! Hurray communism!

A celebration in light of all the people that had to die and/or be stepped on in the last 20 years in order to build the means to copy and/or create foreign products so they could be dumped into the USA at super low prices!

Sorry to cut the celebration short but I need to run to the super market and stock up on more lead-tainted toys to chew on before I go import-car-shopping!

None of this really matters because the discontinued SRT10 or Lightning will annihilate a Tundra in the quarter. Don't even get me started on the Roush and Saleen F150's...

Besides, everyone is right, trim for trim, the 4door Denali is the better truck. Period. Not only does it have better performanc, it also has an even better version of the already superb truck interior. Game over.

Oh wait, I've got an awesome Idea! Let's compare the 4.7L Tundra with its DOHC FURY against the "tired old pushrod 4.8L" version of the Silverado. ANY TRIM. That's right, ladies and gentleman, every version of the Tundra that doesn't have a 5.7L V8 sucks *****.

haha

Anyways, how is GM ancient because they use pushrods? Last time I checked the super modern CVT was invented before 1900. OHCs are ancient. DOHC. heh.... Alum blocks? Think the Wright brothers convered that one long before the Automotive market even thought about it.

wow.... compare a Tundra to 3/4 ton diesels (p.s. this is how you spell diesel) I bet you believe it compares pretty well to them too and I am curious as to why you chose a gas powered truck if your constantly towing and pulling these heavy containers up see-saw rigs from a dead stop, wait that was the commercial but wouldn't a diesel fit your needs a little better?

Actually you are wrong about the lightning. The RC Tundra, runs pretty much even with a stock lightning. Check the videos.

That is a stock Tundra, vs a Lightning with intake, exhaust and a tune.
