Are the folks at Chrysler BRILLANT or something else?

I haven't checked with any of the mentors here. I hope I am qualified to bring this up?

My local paper showed a picture of the new Hemi Cuda. Several hundred hp, 0-60 in around 5 seconds. 100 mph in under 17 seconds. Damn, I would hope 0 to 100 is way under 17 seconds. I would like to be turning left or right after completing a full 1/4 mile run in 17 seconds.

Is Chrysler smart enough to try and fool the public including the insurance companies? Look this car does 100 in 17 seconds

0-100 in 17 seconds is pretty damn slow considering even stock lt1's can accomplish this feat in 14 seconds and under

Might look at the article again. What I saw had it at 0 - 100 - 0 at under 17 sec.

First, Brilliant was the word I tried to use. Excuse besides not reading before posting - never worried about spelling - 22 years of being a Diabetic

The car was Chryslers version of the Camaro. The new version is going to beat us, GM, to the market. It has the Hemi engine.

The add I read said 0 to 60 5 seconds - 100 mph in less than 17 seconds. I would hope to hell the car will get to 100 mph in less than 17 seconds. I would hope to hell the car runs the 1/4 mile over 100 mph as well as runs it in less than 17 seconds.

Oh I don't care, but insurance companies are going to look at Motor trend and Car and driver that are going to flog that thing like a rental car... to determine how far you have to bend over for insurance.

Read the last Paragraph in the first post of this thread before the pics. Sure whatever auto rag you got the information from probably did leave it out, wouldn't surprise me.

Obviously a misprint...Challenger is said to be under 5 sec. 0-60. Around 13 sec 1/4 mile...which at 420 hp is BS also.
