Yes thats true as well, but you know most people will just say they copied the 5th gen with it....oh well...
I am real curious to see it done and uncovered. I don't ever plan to buy a mustang but they can and some do look sharp. I like to make sure my American car company are making better cars then those imports.

After driving the new CTS a few times I highly doubt the V6 Camaro is going to give the GT a serious run for it's money. GM's DI engine looks good on paper but in reality it scoots to 60mph in around 7 seconds. GT's do it around 5.5 or under.
Still, it sounds like the new V8 Ford was working on is suspended and that the Mustang may not recieve the turbo V6 afterall.

The Camaro V6 has a 4.48 first gear for the Manual, and closer, higher-strung gears than the SS will have, combined with it's 3.27 final drive ratio, retaining decent high speed performance. I think it'll be about like it used to, the Camaro V6 will nip at the Mustang GT's heels, but not quite beat it. I CAN pretty much guarantee that it will still annihilate the GT's mpg ratings, just like last time...

It was planned to be the new turbo V6, a new 5.0L V8 and the new BOSS 6.2L V8.
The last news reported on it was that the turbo V6 may not go in it, the BOSS 6.2L program is paused and it might soldier on with the same V6 and 4.6L V8.
I would almost put money on the new 5.0L being the GT's base engine with around 400hp though. It sounds like that's a certainty within the Ford community.

Taken care of...hardly. How much does the GT500 cost, how about the Chally SRT? Around $40K or more to start, right? While no official price has been released its been said the 5th gen will be around the price (a little more) of a comparable Mustang. V6 to V6, GT to SS. While the SS isnt competing pricewise with the SRT and GT500 (because it'll be quite a bit cheaper), it will most likely be able to compete performance wise.
And hopefully in another year an LSA equipped Z28 will be out to really blow them out of the water.

The Camaro will be priced around the same as the mustang...aka V6 will cost the same as the stang V6. I am pretty sure the SS will NOT cost 40k.....more like 30k.
When the Z28 comes out I can see it priced around that of a GT500.

That is NOT the plan for this car, it is going to be a regular production, mass produced car more along the lines of a Mustang or Challenger R/T, not a Challenger SRT-8.
I'm betting that a base model (no options) Camaro SS will start somewhere in the $29,995.00 to $31,995.00 range.
If my guess is correct, it will make this new Camaro THE GREATEST performance car bargain since, well, since the base model 2002 Camaro Z28 (aka: a turnkey high 12 second/170mph car with decent braking/handling for under $23k).
