If they don't put a higher hp motor in the GT then sales are going to tank.

I know you ford guys don't want to see a $28-30k SS with 122 more hp than the GT, but that was damn near the case with the 4th gens as well.
I will be putting an intake/tune on the 08 GT just to have a lkittle breathing room from the new 6 cylinder cars. If the LSA ends up having forged pistons, I'll be in a z28 when the lease is up on it.

The funny thing is nobody will see a SS for 30,000. That thing will be around 34,000 (base V8 MSRP). I cant wait for the price release because it will make/break this car & its not even out yet! Think about it, if the price was extremely low, you think GM would have spilled it (selling point). They are playing this waiting game, whichs leads me to believe it will be mid 30's & its the last thing they want to tell.

Mopar did not release the pricing of the Challenger right away either. They kept it in the news between the official unveiling and production by releasing more tidbits about the car after taking the wraps off the SRT8. GM is doing the same and they haven't revealed everything there is to know about the car yet.

Good point & 30,000 for a RT is great. They will sell alot of those. You guys cant expect the SS to be cheaper than the 06 GTO's. Im guessing the MSRP for the bare base V8 will be 34,000. I still dont understand how being the most expensive (out of the big 3 - V8) is going to help the comeback? Just my .02

They didn't release wether or not the car had the LS3 in it, which is also a huge selling point.
Relasing the info piece by piece keeps the bloggers talking about the car and intrest up. The car still doesn't go on sale for ~7 months.

I think it's one of the most important styling features of the car and one that makes it look like a real Mustang instead of any other car on the road.
