Someone remind me why they just don't use the 5.4L 3V and pump it up?

It is just a good looking car. AND YOU CAN ACTUALLY BUY IT. The General's answer is just way to late on this one.

Ya know 64/65 I like when I see those cars but 05 and later just doesn't appeal to me. Maybe its because they weigh 8000lbs. -Mark

I am digging it. Subtle changes, and makes it look outstanding IMO. Now they will be able to compete with the 4th gen F-bodies (hell, maybe beet the stock ones), and should be good competition for the ls3/l99 5th gens. If only I had 40k lol.

I dont think so. You cannot clearly define any real differences with those pictures. Even the interior has the exact same panels since 2005ish.

The word out on the street regarding the next Ford Mustang engine lineup is that the 5.0 liter is set to return very soon.

Dubbed the "Coyote", this speculated engine is a TiVCT 32v motor, producing 400 hp / 375 tq, is an aluminum block, has a 11:1 compression ratio, and the top end is capped at 7,000 RPM. Some sources say that this new powerplant will replace the current 3v 4.6 liter found in the 2005 - 2009 Mustang.

Rumblings also indicate that this motor will be crafted at Ford’s Essex Engine Plant in Windsor, Ontario. The only jagged edge on this dreamy cloud is the strong compression ratio: many Mustang fans of contemporary times love to run boost on their stock components. If the Coyote comes to fruition, we could expect to see more bottles of giggle gas at the track and less whining...from the Mustang at least.

Sick as ****. I would love to have one now. Something about decently high reving, high comp engines that tickle my insides. Can't wait to see what aftermarket cams, intakes, ect do for these engines.

I really hope they put the 6spd in the mustang with that new engine. Guys will be running 4.56's and still get awesome mileage with that very tall 6th gear.

What is TiVCT?

Sounds sweet. If they keep it near $25k and weighing nearly the same...I am all over that.

I'm assuming it's some sort of variable valve timing?
