So, pros for the Mustang: Roughly the same horsepower, MUCH lighter, surely will be cheaper, sounds better, could potentially look better...faster, cheaper, better looking...and NOT 5 years too late! SRA would be icing on the cake. SRA > IRS for a muscle car. Who the hell buys a muscle car for twisties? Wow, I can't believe I'm saying this but go Ford! No wonder GM's shares are trading at a 50 year low. Who runs this company anyway?

in case you didn't notice, the new mustang is still retro

a few hundred pounds isn't MUCH lighter, and we don't even know the weights for the new car anyway...

saying the new ford will be faster has no factual basis either.

and on that line, we don't know pricing either

90% of people will like the IRS over the SRA, because of the better ride and handling.

like was said, ford shares are in the crapper too

I don't see any reason to believe the redesign will be any heavier than the current car at @ 3500 lbs and that is about 400lbs lighter than the Camaro, and 500lbs less than the Challenger.

3365lbs is probably the dry weight, with fuel and fluids they come in around 3500lbs

Agreed, But I'm thinking it'll get a bump in HP. Maybe a 40-60hp jump. Im not trying to quote anyone or spout numbers, because I really havent looked too much into it, but call it a hunch. I'm pretty sure Ford knows it cant have a car similarly priced to the Camaro but with a 100-hp deficit.

...But, then again, its the Mustang. The damn thing sells itself. I hope it looks good.

The 5.0l is going to come in 2011 I believe or sometime later. This engine should get a bump in hp but I don't expect alot, maybe 15 hp.

Ford focused on getting the car leightweight so allthough it may wait more than the previous mustang,it wont be my much.I been hearing a rumored weight of 36XX lbs which is better than the camaro's.

GT Premium, the standard GT is cheaper than that. The price hasn't risen much by the look of it either.

Imagine if Nissan spun the tires off the GT-R in its commercial's " Warranty Denied" LOL

SOS Post Crash Alert System. Going to have fun with this system name.

315hp. Ouch
