seconding the test drive recommendation...
they are wicked little cars and can get out and scoot quite nicely.

i test drove an automatic one though

my buddy's got a 335xi coupe with a 6 speed, i'll ask to give that thing a whirl i guess

I haven't driven a 135 yet, but yesterday I drove a 335xi for a couple of hours. All I can say is damn. Best handling car I've ever driven, and that includes c5's and 6's. It's razor sharp. With awd and a flat powerband it just explodes out of the hole. I can only imagine how well the 135 handles at 500 pounds less. But I'm honestly more interested in the 335xi now.
