The flywheel equates to roughly 30 rwhp and about 7 tenths in the quarter. This is probably the biggest bang for the buck with the exception of FI.

And I doubt that a UUC flywheel does more for power than headers. lol

exactly thats why I said I have the BOLT-ON record a flywheel is more than a bolt on and a flywheel does just as much if not more than headers. And the crappy tires i use are kumho ecsta asx "all season" with a hard 420 treadwear. With those tires and the full interior and all is when I ran the 12.600 @ 114mph.

I dunno how much racing/modding experience you may have, but I think you need to re evaluate your hp figures. Anyone on here that know the basics of modding for hp on here will tell you that an aluminum flywheel WILL NOT have a higher horsepower gain than long tube headers. You can quote me on that.

And yes, a flywheel is still considered a "bolt on", so write that in your notes my young grasshoppa.

Ah, the dreaded DA. I have to agree with STAGEUP on this one. Both runs on the same track would put STAGEUP out front. The difference between FIR on a hot day and MIR on a cold day would easily be a couple of tenths.

You might be in a lonely group of people if you arguing that a flywheel is not a bolt on. Though, maybe this should be changed to a "stock internal" thread for better clarification.

And to say that a flywheel change even on our cars is worth more than headers is definitely questionable. Average power put to the ground during a 1/4 mile run would probably very similar., with low end advantage going to the FW and top end goin to headers. If you were talking 1/8 mile then I would agree but 1/4 is probably really close.

As far as it being 30rwhp and 7 tenths. Just the math alone is stupid. 30rwhp would be no where near a .7 gain in ET. Either headers or FW are probably worth about .2 in the 1/4

Since I have both, I'll gladly outrun either of you, as long as it is from a roll. That way you can see how a bolt on car can really run.

A dyno is only in 4th gear, and I'm sure that you'll agree that the flywheel is worth more in the lower gears.

I'd like to see that. From a roll or a dig, you'd have your work cut out for you if you think you're going to just walk past mine.

30 rwhp and 7 tenths might be exagerating a bit. "Thems is 20's, more like 10, OK but I keep 'em clean". From a roll or a dig, you'd have your work cut out for you if you think you're going to just walk past mine.

I was referring to the "bolt on" cars that were arguing back and forth. If your car is a "bolt on" car then I'm not sweating that either.

Nope, sorry. Unless you consider the LTW flywheel and H&C bolt ons, along with having all the other normal bolt ons.

I don't care what track it is, with only the mods you state, that's a great time.
