Default My CTS-V vs. TBSS Vs. Z06

Well, ive had this Cts for about a week now, and i decided it was time to see how it fared out against some of my friends cars. The first race was against my friend with an 06 TBSS with corsa exhaust. 2 people in each car, and we started at 50 mph, from the get go we were side by side and by the time i hit 70 i walked away and probably put about 3-4 car lengths by 100, thats when my friend in his z06 (full corsa, veraram,) came up behind me (he was video taping) and we were side by side up to 155 mph, then we slowed down because of a turn. We got back home and we were both pissed because he said he wasnt getting on it, so we went and did another race. We race again, and from 70-155 again he put about 3-4 car lengths. I really thought it would be a much bigger gap due to the fact that his car weighs 1000 lbs. less and was made for highway racing. I will admit that my V felt soo smooth doing 150 and honestly i do not have one complaint with this car. Yes street racing is dumb and obviously against the law, we were on a two lane highway at 1 a.m. with not a single car on the road and we were very familiar with the area, and sorry im 19 and I had to see what the big body four door had in store

yea ive watched a lot of videos on the new cts-v. With over 550 horsepower, who knows what its gonna be like.
Theres no secret, i started buying and selling camaros-trans ams when i was 16 and kept working my way up from high mile z28's then to trans ams then camaro ss's and ws6's. Ive had about 15 camaros and trans ams, my z06, and now my Cts-V. Living at home helps also, but thats only until i graduate from school

Put some headers on it. There wont be a 3-4 car length anymore. They're not a 1000lbs heavier either. I just got mine off the scale at 3850 w/ half a tank a gas and some bullshit in the back that is probably about 50lbs worth. I do have longtubes, so i dont have the heavy manifolds weighing me down, but you'll be looking in his mirror with some longtubes and a tune. Go get'm!

i cant quite make sense of the post above mine....but anywho,
until i get bored of the CTS im going to leave it stock, i make just enough to pay for college tuition and my other bills so spending money on anything besides maitenance is out of the question until summer. Here is a short video clip of the first race. And yes the Z06 did let off in the beginning for a couple split seconds, and was unable to catch up. Although he would of started to since the cadillac is only good up to about 162 or so Ive heard.

Watch out for the deer running that late at night. It wouldn't be a pretty sight if you hit one at 155 mph.

I weighed my maggied V a couple weeks ago. With a full tank and nothing but me (260 lbs) and my Kimber inside it weighed 4200 lbs or 3,940 for the car.

My car is an 04 with no sunroof and maggie'd and a Magnaflow catback exhaust.

My Maggied V (also had Kooks headers, Lingenfelter intake, Magnaflow exhaust and StealthV tune) dyno'd 480whp/445wtq. My best 1/4 mile was 12.4 @ 117mph. My best trap was 119mph. Obviously, the car is good for an 11 sec pass but traction and wheelhop wouldn't allow anything better than a 2.0 60'.
