Default vibration?

I own a 05 cts-v and have a vibration at 1600-2100 rpm. it is more noticable when in neutral and not moving. what would it be? flywheel, dampner, clutch? When I shut the car off there is vibration just before it shuts down. the car has vibration through out but I assume this is normal. the 02 z06 i've worked on has some of the same nosies but seems there is something different about this car. maybe that i'm seating on the tranz un like the z06

Could be the motor mounts... Lots of Vs have had that replaced.

If you don't mind me asking, where in Canada are ya? I'm in Ontario.

I'm from Alberta. bought my car in Toronto area. I realy like the car and can't wait to mod it. You say motor mounts, huh, that could be the cause I'll have to look closly at them. do you know if there are any aftermarket ones available? How about hanmonic dampners and idler pulley. it looks like there is a bit of movement in it?

Lindsay Cadillac sells some UUC motor mounts. They are poly-urethane from what I remember instead of the hydraulic ones, so they won't leak.

I've blown out at least 3 sets of motor mounts. I now run the poly UUC ones from Lindsay. No issues since I put them in, good mod.

I also swapped Harmonic balancers to an ATI 25% under drive, with an ARP bolt. Make sure you don't re-use the OEM bolt, as they are torque to yield and can only be used once. If you ever had that bolt removed, and put back in, that may be your issue.

I'll look into the balancer bolt. Does the Balancer make a big hp/trq differance? With that set up do I need to change belt length? I'll look into the Records of the car. I never seen anything about motor mounts and balancer but the flywheel has been replaced. does anyone know where I can find torque specs for the 05 CTS-V.
