2005 CTS-V on the way, thinking of Eibach springs

so i'm new to this world being i've had my 426whp integra to fool around with and my f250 diesel truck as my DD, now the truck is gone and the integra is on it's way too. I just bought a 2005 SG cts-v that appears to be in outstanding condition. First thoughts were slamming it on some multi-peice 20" staggered wheels, and best bang for the buck seems to be the eibach kit (1.6"F, 1.2"R). Is there anything special I need to know when installing these on the car? I.E. cutting bumpstops/new bumpstops/new toe arms?? I really don't know and wanted to see what most of you thought.
aaaand, at the same time if there's another suspension you guys would recommend. I have no problem tucking tire.
help is appreciated! thanks.

Nice! Congrats. I would check out the Ground Force kit! I had the Eibach, I loved it and have always loved Eibach products but the rear doesn't lower enough! I would either go with Hotchkis or Ground Force....to be honest. They will all have around the same performance results so in that case, I say go LOW.... Ground force....

if i could tuck tires all the way around and maintain a nice ride i'm all for it. ground force appears to be only for trucks from what i could find. any link you could provide?
point is to go as low as i could without spending ridiculous money and sacrificing ride comfort.

Its Ground Control... Just be weary of the Rear Shocks, they are self leveling so you need to put a washer on them to fool them into lowering the car... The GC kit comes with these washers in the kit. You would need these washers if you go with the Eibach - BTW GC comes with Eibach Springs in the kit as well - and you can pick your spring rates BIG +, and Ride Height even BIGGER +

thanks rod... here's a quick question though, is the drop with the GC kit (at lowest setting i guess) more than what just the eibach springs advertised has to offer (1.6"F, 1.2"R), and does the eibach spring kit come with the washers you mentioned? when you say big+, bigger+ when it comes to spring rate, are you pertaining to ride height?
see, i would've never known about those washers.

I think you can lower more with the GC kit, than just the eibachs. The big plus is being able to raise it back up again if needed. The eibach kit only comes with springs - No Washers. There were a few members on the "other" forum making these washers, but I know of none now. In regards to the +'s I was just saying that the Benefits of the Ground Control vs. Eibach Springs - is the choice of Spring Rates, and the adjustability.
Be warned of the 20's though - 19" are the prefered choice of Rim for this Car - w/ 20" there is barely any room for clearance without lowering the car, as soon as you hit some turns you'll be rubbin bad....

miami...
thanks for the info, however, being these wheels will be built for this car, at 20" with the right offset and other ratios, i think it shouldn't be a problem.
example... 20x10.5 (285/25/20) and 20x9 (245/30/20)

Spring Rates affect the stiffness... If you plan on tracking the car etc.
I have GC w/ 600F/650R and FG2 Shocks. I also run 18" Cadi Accessory Wheels, but I do ALOT of canyon driving, so Rubbing was an issue even with 18" - But I am able to pull 1.15 G in the twisties - so I'm happy with my setup

tony tone, why dont you make a drive up to palm beach gardens one day, You can check out my car, drive it, and see how the eibachs look. I have 19's so you can also see what 19's vs stockers look like, and then picture the 20's. Let me know if your interested, and we can arrange to have lunch or just meet up one day. Let me know.

At least I got the Ground part right! In that case, just go with the Hotchkis dude! Seriously, shock issues with GF kit? THAT SUCKS....Eibach, the rear looks like poop. THAT SUCKS. Hotchkis looks great and you can match it with the sway bars which is a great buy....

Well then we need to get to the bottem of this! I would buy the hotchkis in a second if I new for sure that no shock modification was necessary
