Default 05 CTS-V, suspension ideas chime in!

so i ordered rims for my car last week and they should be ready within about 3-4 weeks. I need to lower the car and can't make up my damn mind. i'm looking for something that has the lowest setting. i'm eyeing the eibach springs but then not sure what else is really out there. coil-overs would be nice, but if they're going to have the same ride height as they eibachs when you have them at the lowest setting, i dont feel they're worth it.

what would you guys recommend?

thanks.........

tony

Give us some specs on your wheels/tires. That will give us an idea of what you're working with.

seen them with 20" all around. done right they look very nice.

as far as the GC kit, at it's lowest setting, do you know what the drop is? if it's the same as the eibach spring kit I may as well just get that. however, in speaking to eibach, they're saying the only way I get around the rear self-leveling shocks is to get shocks off a regular cts.

any ideas? i thought you could use some washers or spacers (can't forget which) to fool them.

I know only of one other Member with 20" wheels that went with the H&R's (higher than Eibach's) and had to pull the springs out because he wore through his inner fender trim, and buckled his Fenders from rubbing so bad... I have 18" wheels and GC and I've hit the fender enough to make a little dimple in my fender (there getting rolled SOON) and wear a bit of the inner fender liner off.... But I also Drive aggressively in the Canyons.

You can get the Washers to fool the shocks btw, or switch to something non load leveling. The GC comes with the Washers in the Kit.

the ones i have purchased are built to order for each specific car. they have the precise offset where there's no chance in hell they will rub, if they do, they give me 2 options where I could choose both if i wanted to. they use that tool (forgot the name) that attaches to the hub and roll your fenders, or simply take the wheels off, put them back on the machine and bring the lip portion of the wheel inwards slightly. very easy job being its a multi-peice wheel.

eitherway, here's an idea of a v with 20s (same staggered size) sitting pretty low:
