How are you lanching the car? rpm, clutch method, etc?

You will need to complete the checklist for a V owner going to the dragstrip:
1) Confirm AAA membership is paid up to date, and the number for AAA Road Service is in your speed dial
2) Bring a huge box of Kleenex
3) Remember to pull your car to the center divider upon hearing the words KA-BOOM
4) Hopefully you go with a few buddies so you can borrow their car(s) and actually complete a full run
5) Plenty of small bills to tip the clean-up crew for their assistance

Enjoy,,,

2) Bring a huge box of Kleenex - I keep it in my back pocket

3) Remember to pull your car to the center divider upon hearing the sound KA-BOOM - still certified, but will need a lift(AAA)

4) Hopefully you go with a few buddies so you can borrow their car(s) and actually complete a full run - Told me they would burn in hell before i get to touch the go-fast peddle

5) Plenty of small bills to tip the clean-up crew for their assistance - only if they are HOT, and have a place for me to swipe my CC

Enjoy,,,

wow....anyone that you know locally can bring a new stock m3....and a new c63.....and I will show you exactly how they get beat....lol

I actually just ran into a clk63 vert and we went from 50-140 I put a 1/2 car on him from like 80-90 ish and he stayed right there the whole way.

I guess Ill have to start video recording these races....

liquid...learn to drive your car and maybe youll figure it out. as Ive said in prior posts....I have 70k miles of driving time under my belt in a cts-v. practice makes perfect. I can limit the wheel hop when shifting from 1-2 WAAAAY better than I could of when I first got the car (and it was stock for that matter) this car makes you learn to drive it and thus makes you EARN the times its capable of

Yea I chased one on the freeway the other day, 4-door M3 V-8, nice car, he passed me about 70 and I rolled in behind him and I was like a cheap suit, he tried to shake me but I just hung with him, he was in his mirrors like, WTF. All he saw was Caddie grill, even from a dig in 6th at 70 or so I would reel him in, it was fun.

not so much! Atleast not in 6th gear at 70mph!!! If he wanted to get away while you stayed in 6th then he would have gotten away!!! Sounds like you were just riding someones *** at 70mph!

Okay, I am confused, 4-door M3 V-8, was available on M3 E36, years of production were 1991-2000, but sedan was only available until 1998, and was rated at 240BHP--you obviously did not race an E36. On the E39 M3, model years 2001-2006, the 4-door was never offered. So if you raced the 4-door with V8 it must the new one, the E90. Either dude was not racing you and or wanted you to win. BTW, list your mods and/or dyno sheet, as that may be the variable I am missing.

And if your dyno sheets states that you have a jet under the hood then I retract my last statement...

no 4-door v-8 m3 was available in the US OEM. The first road legal v8 m3 came in the e9x series which is the current gen 3 series. the E36 came with an inline 6, same with the E46 which we would walk on.
