Default Leaking Power Steering Line

Is this a known issue?

The powersteering line that runs near the bottom of the front suspension subframe..right there where the bottom engine cover ends, is leaking.

It's kind of a wierd hose, as it goes from a fabric (braided?) hose to a crimped tube (galvanized) that makes a U-turn to another length of hose, and up to the pump.

There's fluild seeping, but it hasn't dripped. There's a bit of road crud stuck to it, so it appears that it's been leaking for a while.

It's this one here:

It hasn't happened to mine. I don't remember reading of anyone else having this issue but you never know.

My wife's V has the same issue. Not enough weepage to leave a mark in my garage, but enough that when I'm changing my oil I wipe it off to keep the crud from getting out of hand... I also check my power steering fluid once every couple months to make sure its topped off.

In the winter it makes a horrible noise at startup when its even a couple cap fulls low.

I found it on rockauto.com pretty easily. I replaced mine when I removed my PS pump for a head removal. They're kinda fragile pieces and don't like being moved around much.
