Gene can flat-out drive, I am sure he has skills and techniques beyond what most of us can do. He did his 11.8secs with the stock rear. My only run, on a night when I paid $250.00 for my portion of the Track Rental, before the shotgun went off in my backseat, was 12.5@118 with a 1.9 60' (not sure if exact, as about 2.5 years ago).
Back to the race vid, that C6Z owner needs to turn in his ManCard, as a good driver should break 12secs everytime in that car.

383 LS6 stroker, RPM stage 5 trans, 3rd gen vette diff (still IRS and breaks u joints and half shafts), meth injection, DR's, line loc, and much more. The most important thing is seat time at the strip. If I had a good straight axle setup I believe it would run verrryy low 11's maybe even break into the tens. Money is the only thing stopping me (and a roll bar).

I think my car has 11.5s in her. With a trap speed of 120mph, I think its doable. Street tires are the only thing stopping me. Im on a 100 shot. Still no headers and Im on stock cats

A V1 breaking 12secs without the Madman rear is a very impressive feat. Good luck in your pursuits, and remember not only hard launches, but also hard shifts can ruin your night at the dragstrip.
