I've had 4 fbodys over the years (a turd gen and 3 4th gens) and I think I'm going to like this car a lot more than I did those
Good comment on the rims, get them PCed black (and possibly widened), then black out the grills, frames and lights---should not kill your budget. With those mods, 400RWHP will be tough, but at least you have goals!

Well, if you have them of the car, and tires removed, widening seems to the next logical step. I think you can go from 8.5" to 9.25" or 9.50". Good luck, remember, mod money needs to be planned and then hidden, as if you do not spend it, the wifey sure will!

How much does widening cost? I kinda like the width it is now. The 245's that are on the car look a tiny bit too narrow on the rims. The only time I've ever spent money on rims was to buy an extra set to mount drag radials on

First off congrats on the V and welcome to this section of the forums.

IMO it will be close to 400 but dont think it will get there. See alot of guys here with those mods on a LS6 but not at 400 to the rear. all depends on the tune i guess. My stock 07 (LS2) put down 345 so picking up 55 i guess would be possible, not exactly sure what the 04/05 puts down stock...

I love my V but couldnt get rid of my 99 TA (to much invested and I love it)

It is pretty dark, but it was dusk and it is a camera phone. I'll snap some pics with my nice camera during the day when I get back from vacation. The V symbol in my sig is from my car with me standing close to it so it may just be the crappy black jack 2 camera.

Not sure, did not do it for mine, IIRC a few people found a vendor that charge around $150.00-$200.00 rim. Get a quote from someone local, as shipping really adds to the total cost. Good Luck!!
