Default Differential Bushing

I'm ordering the UUC one next Thursday (payday!!!!) and I remember seeing that you needed a special tool. Does this tool make it easier, or is it a necessity in this swap?

On a side note, I want the person who sniped me on Ebay the other day for a CTS-V spare to show themselves.....

No deedub, we were discussing the Spare tire before that.

I do plan on the UUC from Lindsay. I belive that was the quoted price. My question to those who have installed it though....Does it need any special tools to do it? I've seen a special tool advertised.

Yeah it does need a special tool to make it much easier. Someone on the other forum was renting one out i believe and lots of guys have had great success with it.

The tool is necessary. Hit up PISINUOFF on the CF forum and rent it from him. I have a writeup too......search diff bushing install on that forum

I think the diff bushing sucked. It only helped the clunk a little bit, and really made my whine louder.

That's the same way I felt about the Pinion support from BMR. It helped a little, but didn't totally correct the noise. Hmmm, maybe I'll let the stealerships look at this one.
