V Headers
well long tubes for under a grand is a great deal but remember you get what you pay for.... Nothing against pacesetters infact i got them on my TA with catted ypipe into GMMG catback and they sound great. My only problem is the mild steel... If they come coated then thats a big plus up coating scratches and peels... my coated pacesetters had started to peel nothing to bad but i have noticed
they did tests a few years back and compared them to Kooks, Hooker, SLP and a few other bigger names. they flowed well but not as good as the more expensive stainless ones, but for your normal person they would work just fine.
they fit great on the TA and they have always had great fitment so i am sure they will fit great in the V. I might have to look into these when they get out on the web... coated inside and out with mid pipes for 500ish would be sick.
my only regret on putting pacesetters on the TA is the scraping, my TA sits really low and the collectors seem to catch every little thing.

I've had my kooks on for 70k miles now. I had them coated by JetHott from the begining, to try and keep the temps a bit lower in the engine bay, and to try and protect the other bits in the engine compartment from the heat that headers can throw out.
I have had two very minor issues, neither related to Kooks:
1) One of the granatelli wires I bought when I got the headers burnt on one of the primaries, after about 5k miles. I attribute that to aftermarket quality issues. I went back to OEM wires, and have had no issues.
2) The JetHott coating is starting to peel in a few small places.
Aside from that zero issues.
You need to weigh the pro's and cons of each header for your situation.
-If you plan to put a lot of miles on the car, or drive in the north (lots of salt and poor roads), then I'd consider one of the stainless headers for durabilities sake.
- If you don't put that many miles on your car, and don't want all out perfomrance (70(ish)% is good enough), then the pace setters are a no brainer.
- If all out performance is your requirement, look at the Kooks or the B&B's. The B&B's are the only ones with a 3" collector, which allows a full 3" exhaust the whole way if you want/need to go that route. Additionally, koosk is the only company to offer off the shelf 1 7/8" primaries (only needed with larger displacement engines that stock, or forced induction). Looking at the designs, Kooks is the only one that really tried hard to get equal length primaries. I also know that kooks has a very nice venturi collector design (not sure about the B&B).
Food for thought.
I have been very happy with my decision, and it has certainly paid off with the trouble free miles I've put on the car.
