Fidanza Twin 6.5 Review

I wouldnt sell it to someone they way it was. Im hoping to get a new pressure plate and disk so I can sell it to a F-body owner for cheap.
Even though alot of f-body guys have the same issue ( they can band-aid it with a adjustable master ) .
Adam thinks its a spacer issue and I dont think thats the case. I took some measurments when Mine was out and it looks like my spacer was alittle to small. But liquid ran it with a ls7 slave and he still has issues getting into gear so my theory is out the door.
I love the fidanza so far, Im at about 250 miles, So in another 2 or 3 weeks I should hit 500 and Ill have some nice WOT vids for everyone to enjoy

I put in the 7.6 in my car and I am having alot of problems with it. The clutch pedal is very nice, the clutch engagement is on or off, but not to hard to drive. I like the clutch but it will not hold my power. I took it to the track and made a few passes, I took it easy, taking off at 2,000 and no power shifting. I have made all of the adjustments to the MC and that is ok. I got two good passes out of it before it started slipping.
I was able to run one 10.0@148mph before the clutch gave up.

my car is a nissan 180sx custom built SILCAMINO.
it got a f-body 2001 ls1 in it.
cam swap, headers, air kit and remap ecu.....
fidenza 6.5 twin disc/gm slave and willwood 0.75 masterpump.
i have bleed it 3 times now......
spinning means: when i floor the pedal, engine revs,
but car dont move.......
it only spins when it is hot........i took it out of my car and
the discs looked fine. but the pressure plate was blue(been hot).

what # brake fluid are you guys using? Ive got to bleed again since my pedal feels alittle slow/sticky as it pops up.
I want to make sure I get the best stuff in there.
I think I have some dot 3 in there now

Aaron from Fidanza tried giving you a call today and it sounds like you hung up on him. Please give him a shout so he can get you taken care of, he said he called 3 times after the first initial call.
(440) 259-5656 EXT 116 if he does not answer please hit 0 and ask them to page Aaron.
This clutch is on 800+whp and 850+WTQ 2010 camaro's without any issues. This is why Fidanza wants to gets the clutch from you an get it inspected.
They also have this same 7.6 in their 1100whp C5 vette and it was working great.
Give Aaron a shot, if your not satisfied with the service he will provide to you. He will get you setup with an RMA and I can personally work on getting you a twin you would want.
Let me know,
Adam

I cant tell you how many people i see try to save $150 bucks re-using a 50+k mile slave with a $1200 clutch.
Ill keep you guys posted if i can get this clutch to slip. Im sure ill break my rear before then.
Good luck with fidanza, the guys i talked to were great. Im really interested to see what happens.

I find that hard to believe. Ive got it in my camaro thats 3600-3800lbs (last year my car dynoed 530hp & 640trq, probably 600hp & 700trq now with the new boost controller and 40% more boost) I think you had other issues. 1. did you go with the aluminum or the steel flywheel? 2. did you go with a lager capacity master? 3. Did you replace the slave? Id guess you had something funky happen with the hydraulics, not allowing it to fully engage.

Video from the track on 8psi, at this power the clutch does not have a problem, as soon as I turned it up to 10 PSI then it will slip.

And as far as the spec issue goes, I sent my 3+ kit back to them and he said everthing is fine , but he is sending me a stage 1 disk instead because he thinks my issue was from the heavy disk and said my syncros must be bad,. But everything works fine with the twin
