I dont see how it could get better if I installed a passenger side axle. Not to mention no one made a passenger side axle and even Hendrix agreed that it wont make much of a difference to have the passenger(econo axle). He simply started making them because some people are **** and want to do both sides. the pro axles are a different story since its not just the bar thats beefed up.

LOL I guess we're ****

Having both sides match are nice for looks and it was a good excuse to re grease both sides!

re-greasing was the biggest part why we purchased both axles! The car had 86,000 miles...

LOL wasnt trying to offend anyone by my post, when I saw that he was making the passenger side I had wondered why since when I talked to him he said only one was necessary. I dont blame anyone for buying two since it doesnt hurt.

Didnt you guys do the pro axles though? or did you just go with gforces?

only one side, because the purpose I was explained was, both sides during 04-05 were the same diameter, this would cause a back and forth swapping motion from side to side, something like several times per second, and the signals going back and forth would start to cause an ocilating motion of the rear tires, thus resulting in wheel hop. by changing just one axle to a different diameter, the weight difference doesn't cause that back and forth side to side signals as much if at all, and then you dont have the wheel hop.

I was told the 04-05 axles are one diameter, and then the 06-07 axles were also the same diameter as each other but larger then the 04-05 ones.

I paid about $300 for one larger then stock sized G-Force axle. Had the dealership install it for right around $300, reason for using dealership was in case there were any incidents during replacement they'd be responsible. No wheel hop since then, did a huge first and second gear burnout behind the dealership on a back roadway only 50 feet across field from dealership. Video coming later...

I had an option to buy both sides in the harder/hardest usable material, 300M billet steel, but didnt really see the need for something that really wouldn't ever be seen much. (although I almost did buy both axles up until the last moment before ordering... lol)

Material used to build the bar has to do with the hop as well, hendrix told me about the amount of twist the bar allows.

Very possible IMO. Had this problem on my C5 and it was the shocks. Exact same tires. Afterward it was much better. Does the car feel like it's' finding grooves in the road when you drive?

The 06-07 axles have staggered diameters. The driver side is thinner than the passenger side.

Not true. They are the same diameter.

Mine are now staggered thanks to GForce axles.

You sure cant...unless of course you get the GForce axle for $299 that is made of 300m and coated so it wont rust.

Whatever axle you get will fix the hop...some of us just have favorites. Just like beer, I'm a Shiner guy.

What year is your V? You measured the diameter of each axle and they are different?

Stock, the length is different but the diameter is the same. GM did not stagger the diameter of the axles on the V until the V2.

If your V has staggered then they are either aftermarket or GM effed up.

What I meant was the aftermarket axles I have are staggered in diameter between driver and passenger side. Dunno if Hendrix/DSS are staggered (I presume they are), but GForce axles are for the 06-07.

My GForce axles are very staggered. You can tell just by looking that the shorter side (passenger? I can't remember for sure) is very thick and the longer side is actually thinner than my stock '04-style axles. Pretty crazy huh?

They seem to work exactly as advertised (in other words -- wheelhop is gone). I will have video and a full review in a few weeks.

Anything wrong with just getting a factory unit? ie. One 04-05, and one 06-07.

What are the size differences of the two generation or factory axles?

Anyone have part numbers?

With 80k+ miles on my car I would rather buy a complete new assembly.
