Thats what I am shooting for with the exhaust mods.
The headers and shifter have arrived. Still waiting on the Corsa and the motor mounts.

The 1 7/8 Kooks run pretty close to a lot of things under there. Even with mine being coated, DEI's Velcro tubing came in handy.

Did you get the catted Corsa setup or the OR version?

A couple of years ago, I worked with AT&T and NCDOT setting up the fiber for the traffic system control (and the newer "Gotcha" cams ) in Wilmington.

Your shop is out 17 past the College Street intersection isn't it? Do y'all happen to have a tubing bender (mandrel type)?

Nice! We are doing pretty much the same things here at the same time so it's nice to know what kind of numbers I'm looking at! Keep us posted!

Well it was a mod fest last night! We banged out the install, including....
Creative steel motor and trans mounts
B&M short shifter
Kooks 1 7/8 long tubes
After waiting two weeks for the Corsa exhaust, and all we got was empty promises on ship dates. I went ahead and got a set of Kooks conection pipes to the stock cat back.

It is like a new car all over again, the motor mounts are excellent, the shifter is awesome, and well the new found power...................

Here is the comparison from the last dyno session which was K&N intake, Flowmaster mufflers, and a custom tune, to tonight with the latest mods.
The only difference from then to now is the following parts...
Hendrix Engineering clutch kit
Spec Steel flywheel 24 pound
Kooks 1 7/8 long tubes with off road connection pipes to the stock catback.
Retune

Might be able to squeeze out another 5 hp or so with the Corsa when it eventually shows up.
I am very impressed!

These are SAE legit numbers. Hell we made probably 8 back to back runs with only enough time to reflash the PCM in between making small changes. It repeated out every time. Seat of the pants is a night and day difference.

Looks great Chris!

I don't think I have ever seen those numbers out of a CTS - V with the same mods before either!

Most dont but do believe it can be done, is the clutch set up light weight, ie no dual mass FW any longer?

I was wondering that too...I saw that someone here or the other forum had freed up like 25whp with a LS7 setup over the stock LS6 anchor

I dont know about 25hp with the LS7 clutch, The LS7 is still a pretty heavy piece. My spec steel flywheel is around 24 pounds, a lot lighter then stock, but I still wanted OEM driveability with it. Which I received. An ultra light aluminum would have freed up more, but I did not want it to be a pain to drive.
I figured my Hendrix clutch kit, and Spec flywheel are good for around 10 -15hp.

I just put on another 1200 miles today, the car is a blast to drive! I still averaged the same 24 mpg I had before too. The B&M shifter does transmit a little bit of noise, but still one of my favorite mods to the car.

Just FYI, the stock LS7 flywheel is about 26lbs..

The pressure plate and disc assembly from the LS7 is kind of bulky.
