Default Bedding HP+ pads...define race speed.

Just put on some new HP+ pads, box says brake 6-8 times from medium speed then 6-8 times from race speed....I'm guessing medium is ~60 and race is ~100? Gonna be tough to do around here if those are the speeds...Am I right on my speed assumptions?

After installing HP+ pads I just did ten 60-5 mph HARD stops and they were bedded great. Don't come to a complete stop, if at all possible.

I found a stretch of divided hiway with cross-overs about 1/4 mile apart. Safe and legal.

I began doing "laps" accelerating to about 50 and down to 10 or so and then ratcheting it up to hiway speeds till I began smelling them.

The actual number isn't as important as just getting a solid heat cycle on the pads and rotors and let them cool off.

You do not have to go 100mph to bed in the pads. Stoptech has a great how to on pad bedding.

Make sure you do it enough to get that nice and strong 'ode-de-asbestos'.

I love that smell, reminds me of the track.
