Wow 100 rwhp gain from a small cam. I bet the guys who spent 90K on a Z06 LS7 are pissed.

the LS3 is not a hard swap from an LS2. Not sure if its a real advantage but I swapped one in for an ls6 in an 05 and it worked out well. Had its moments of frusturation but worth it. I would have just done the forged rotating assembly in an LS2 if I had an LS2 car but decided to upgrade to a forged LS3 vs building an LS6.

I don't believe 100 hp from a cam; especially on how efficient these engines (LS series) already are and keep getting more so...I'm sure the LS3 is a great engine and all, but some of these claims I hear (not this, in general) are, um, wow, and this seems to be one of them.
I'd still love an LS7 under the hood of the V...hmm, maybe if I keep it long enough to blow the motor, I'll revisit that idea, lol.

Not trying to stir the pot and I am not calling anyone out by any means. Just can't believe the stories I hear about GM underrating motors. I am awed at the claims people make about LS3s. GM uses SAE J1349 certified power ratings. LS3s will consistently put down 370-380 at the rear wheels from what i have read. Gaining 100rwhp from a cam is about the same as a installing a FI set up. It just doesn't wash.
